Welcome to my blog! You may have arrived here from Alexandria's blog Ready Craft Create . To start at the beginning and see more than 20 gorgeous cards and other papercraft projects, go the VC_Rocks blog . This is the first time I've been part of a blog hop and am pretty excited about it. It is one of several that will be sponsored by VC_Rocks! this summer. VC_Rocks! is a "virtual convention" for those of us who love Stampin' Up! We meet online from April to August every year sharing our creativity through swaps, make & takes, challenges, and classes and making wonderful friendships based on our common interest in stamping and Stampin' Up! This is my third year and it is a blast! New members will be accepted through May 30 so if you'd like to join us, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vc_rocks/ The project I have to share is one that was designed by Joyce Pacer and made with items from the new summer mini catalog.

Start by spritzing a piece of Naturals White card stock with the Gold Glow Smooch Spritz and set it aside to dry. The standard size card base (8 1/2 " x 5 1/2" then scored and folded at 4 1/4") is also Naturals White card stock. Next, cut the remaining card stock: Certainly Celery 4 1/4" x 1 1/2", Elegant Eggplant 4" x 2 1/4", Whisper White 3 3/4" x 2" and Presto Patterns Designer Series Paper 5" x 3 3/4". Using a Stampin' Sponge, apply Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose Classic ink to the Presto Patterns DSP. Begin with the lighter color (PiP) then add the Rose to give it some shading and variation. Punch two opposite corners with the Scallop Trim corner punch.

Using Elegant Eggplant and Garden Green Stampin' Write markers, color the rubber on the stamp to color the image. Use a So Saffron marker to color the center of the flower. Stamp the image on the Whisper White card stock. Adhere it to the piece of Elegant Eggplant card stock.

Adhere the Presto Patterns DSP to the front of the card and adhere the Certainly Celery to the left side of the Presto Patterns DSP. Adhere the matted image to the CC card stock. Using the Elegant Eggplant marker, color the rubber of the sentiment stamp and stamp on the piece of Naturals White card stock that was spritzed earlier. Punch the sentiment with the large oval punch.

Punch a piece of Elegant Eggplant card stock with the scalloped oval punch. Layer the punched sentiment on the EE card stock and adhere. Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere layered sentiment to the card.

Thanks for stopping by! Subcribe or follow my blog and be entered into a drawing for some fun blog candy! I'm giving away an SU designer series paper pad! Random drawing on Monday, May 17th so be sure to check back to see if you're the winner!

Your next stop on the hop will be Carolyn Sharkas' blog Inking the Night Away.
