Welcome to the 24th stop on the first blog hop of the VC_Rocks 11th season! If you are hopping along in order you arrived here from Tammy's Tarheel Stamper blog. Wasn't her project lovely? If you happened upon this hop some other way and would like to see the rest of the fantastic projects we have to share with you, a link to the next blog will be at the end of this post. Or, you can go to the VC_Rocks blog where you will find a list of all the participating bloggers. Our theme this month is Color My World featuring a coloring technique. I love SU's Watercolor Wonder Crayons so that's what I used on the card below. The image is from a current hostess set, Fast and Fabulous and was stamped on watercolor paper with StazOn ink. The oval mats were cut from Old Olive and Chocolate Chip card stock with Coluzzle templates and the Perfect Details Texturz plate was used to emboss the Chocolate Chip layer. A piece of Old Olive and White retired gross grain ribbon was tied around the embossed layer before it was adhered to the Chocolate Chip card base. The card design is by Wendy Janson. I'm so glad you came to visit! Please leave a comment or become a follower of my blog to be entered in a drawing for blog candy! Come back on Monday, May 16 to see if you are the lucky winner.
The next stop on the hop is Jane Hignite's blog Stamp with Jane. You'll love her project!

National Nurses' Day is this week so I made a card for two of my favorite nurses. My niece Jessica's card is below. The card stock is Rich Razzleberry because that is the color scrubs she wears to work. I used All in the Family stamp set, the Sizzix scalloped oval die, Perfect Details Texturz plate, and Word Window and Modern Label punches to create the card. The image was colored with SU markers and the greeting was computer generated and adhered to the card with Dimensionals. The card stock for the card for my other favorite nurse, my nephew Levi, was Night of Navy and instead of the scalloped oval die I used the oval Coluzzle and the other side of the Perfect Details Texturz plate on his card.
