I'd been wanting to try the Vanilla Double technique and thought the retired set Heartfelt would work perfectly. This technique is so easy and makes a very pretty background. Card stock used was Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, and Elegant Eggplant. The focal image was colored on the stamp with Stampin Write markers and Elegant Eggplant gross grain ribbon tied in a knot finished this card.

Welcome to the 6th stop on the SU STARS blog hop! If you are hopping along in order you arrived here from Angela's blog Life With a Wiener Dog. I love her cheerful cards. And isn't Frank a cutie? He's such a good boy! If you didn't come from Angela's blog and would like to view all the fabulous projects our group has to share with you this weekend, you will find the list of participating blogs here on the SU STARS blog. Or just follow the links in each of our posts until you have gone full circle.
Our theme this month is Fantastic Florals. I'm loving the new colored embossing powders in the new Summer mini catalog so much, I've used them in my project below. I used all three colors - Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo, and Wild Wasabi - to emboss the line images from Awash with Flowers then colored them with a blender pen and Classic ink pads. Card stock used is Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, and Textured Wild Wasabi. The Scallop Trim Border punch and Beautiful Wings embosslit were used to add the final touches.
The next stop is Monica Weaver's blog Add a Little Dazzle. She always has something lovely to share with us. Enjoy!

Totally CASEd this card from Jackie Topa. Card base is Naturals White card stock, the red checked paper is a retired DSP, and the sentiment is from On Your Birthday stamped in Riding Hood Red. The flower is from the Build a Blossom stamp set and coordinating punch stamped on Whisper White in So Saffron and the leaves were stamped in Wild Wasabi on Wild Wasabi Textured card stock.

National Nurses' Day is this week so I made a card for two of my favorite nurses. My niece Jessica's card is below. The card stock is Rich Razzleberry because that is the color scrubs she wears to work. I used All in the Family stamp set, the Sizzix scalloped oval die, Perfect Details Texturz plate, and Word Window and Modern Label punches to create the card. The image was colored with SU markers and the greeting was computer generated and adhered to the card with Dimensionals. The card stock for the card for my other favorite nurse, my nephew Levi, was Night of Navy and instead of the scalloped oval die I used the oval Coluzzle and the other side of the Perfect Details Texturz plate on his card.

Welcome to Bluegrass Stamper Studio and the February SU STARS blog hop! You may have arrived here from Monica Weaver's Blog Add a Little Dazzle. If not, and you would like to complete the blog hop, you will find a link to the next blog at the end of this post. You can continue hopping along until you've visited them all. Or, if you prefer, you will find a complete list on the SU STARS blog and can click on links to each blog there.
This month the hop is featuring birthdays or projects created with items from Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration or Occasions mini catalogs. The card below was cased from one by Wendy Janson that I saw on SCS. Stamp sets used were Awash with Flowers, Teeny Tiny Wishes, and a script background stamp. Card stock is Daffodil Delight, More Mustard, and Whisper White. Classic ink is Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, and Pear Pizzazz. Punches used are Eyelet Border, Word Window, and Modern Label. Ribbon is 1/8" taffeta in Marina Mist.
The blog of Denise Foor is your next stop along the hop. You can always count on Denise for a fun project. Happy stamping!

Welcome to the first stop on the VC_Rocks blog hop! You most likely arrived here from the VC_Rocks blog. This is our third hop this summer and do we ever have some great projects to share with you! There are 31 stops along the way with several projects on the VC_Rocks blog. Many of the projects feature products from the current Summer Mini catalog while others have brand new products from the 2010-11 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog! If you should get lost along the way, links to all the participating blogs can be found here.
My project is a birthday card made with the Fast and Fabulous hostess set from the new catalog. To make this card, emboss Elegant Eggplant card stock with the new Vintage Wallpaper folder and add a piece of Daffodil Delight (new color!) gross grain ribbon. Adhere to Whisper White card base. Stamp the flower images on Whisper White card stock using Elegant Eggplant, Daffodil Delight, and Basic Black ink. Stamp a sentiment from the set Watercolor Trio (in the Summer Mini catalog) on Whisper White card stock with Elegant Eggplant ink. Mat both stamped pieces on Daffodil Delight card stock. Simple but stunning. Card design by Jan Knecht.
The next stop on the hop is the blog of Mary Campbell. Just wait until you see what she has for you!! Enjoy!

Here's another card made with a hostess set from the new catalog. It's a level 2 set called Fast and Fabulous stamped on Naturals White cardstock in Wild Wasabi ink. The flowers were colored with a Tangerine Tango marker then a VersaMark marker and embossed with clear embossing powder. The shading was added by lightly sponging River Rock ink around the image. It is matted on Wild Wasabi cardstock and the cardbase is River Rock. The card design is by Joyce Pacer.

Been out of town for a few days attending a professional conference for work so haven't had time to post anything new. Maybe I can make it up to you by posting this card made with a set from the upcoming catalog and idea book. This card is a CASE from one posted to SCS by Amy Fitz. The set is called Awash with Flowers. With 18 stamps in the set, there are so many possibilities to create gorgeous cards and projects!
