Another card we made in stamp club last month.  I used the sketch challenge at Stamper's Joy as my design inspiration.

This is a valentine we made in stamp club this month.  It uses some of my favorite SU products like the Hello Doily background stamp which we heat embossed onto DSP, the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details on the Valentine the little girl is holding, and the Smooch Accent Ink on her collar, petticoat, and socks.  More details below.

I just love it when a quick and simple card is so pretty!  This one has a Poppy Parade card base and Everyday Enchantment DSP from the new Sale-a-Bration catalog.  (You can get this DSP free with a $50 purchase!)  The window was cut with the new heart Framelits in the Occasions mini catalog and the little heart was punched from the Heart to Heart punch.  A little rhinestone was added to the little heart to give it some bling.  The sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card in Basic Black and is from the Short and Sweet set.

This vintage style Valentine was made with Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White card stock, water color paper, Lots of Love letterpress plate, Paper Doily Sizzlit die, Coluzzle cutting system, Greeting Card Kids stamp set, Watercolor Wonder crayons, VersaMark ink, and Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.

This card features the Take It to Heart stamp set from the new Occasions mini catalog stamped on watercolor paper in StazOn black ink.  The image was colored with Watercolor Wonder crayons.  The heart shapes were cut with the new Framelits also in the Occasions mini.  The Bashful Blue heart was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder and the Pretty in Pink card base was embossed in the Framed Tulips folder.

I love learning new ways to cut and fold paper to create unique cards. Here's one from Emma Fewkes that she calls a Bendy Fold card. Not hard at all to make and so much fun. I made this one just like hers to learn how to do it. I have another I'll post in a few days that is my own design.

I just love the ease and simplicity of the letterpress plates. The Lots of Love plate was inked with a VersaMark pad and run through the Big Shot with Cherry Cobbler card stock. White organdy ribbon was tied around it then adhered to a white card stock base. Two scalloped edge hearts were cut with some nestability dies, a sentiment from the You're a Gem set stamped on the small Cherry Cobbler one, and adhered to the card.

My project is a Valentine card made with the Inlaid Embossing technique and features a few new products from the Occasions mini catalog. The center heart is Glimmer Paper cut in my Big Shot with a Sizzlits die. I love how shiny and glittery it is. But the best part is that the glitter doesn't come off! The other hearts were punched from Poppy Parade card stock with the Heart to Heart punch and embossed onto Naturals White card stock with the Square Lattice embossing folder. The sentiment stamp is from the new You're a Gem set stamped in Poppy Parade Classic ink on Naturals White card stock, punched with the large oval punch and mounted on Poppy Parade card stock punched with the scalloped oval. The card base is, you guessed it, Poppy Parade and the trinket key is tied to 1/4 inch gross grain ribbon in Whisper White.

Have you tried one of the Letterpress plates yet? It debosses instead of embossing like the folders when used with the Big Shot. On the card below the Lots of Love letterpress plate was used to create the background on ivory paper with Regal Rose ink. Victoria Crochet Trim was wrapped around it and tied in a knot. The little girl image is from the Greeting Card Kids set, stamped in StazOn on watercolor paper and colored with Watercolor Wonder Crayons. After coloring I covered the heart she is holding with Zig Two Way glue and red glitter. The image was mounted on Blushing Bride cardstock and adhered to the card front with Stampin Dimensionals. The card base is Soft Suede cardstock.

One last Valentine for this year. All the SU items used on this card are now retired since I made this card for a stamp club challenge a year or so ago. The stamp set is Happy Heart Day stamped on watercolor paper with brown Staz-On ink. Watercolor Wonder crayons were used to color the images. The gold glitter used to accent the flower and the gold brad were both from my stash of scrapbooking supplies. The card base is Ruby Red card stock, the dotted paper is from the Cutie Pie DSP, and the ribbon is River Rock from a previous In Color collection.

A cone made from the Sending Love DSP will hold sweet treats or other goodies for your Valentine. Just be sure to roll it so that nothing falls out the pointy end and use a strong glue or Sticky Strip to hold it together. This one has a few of SU's red and pink corduroy brads as accents.

Waterfall cards are so easy and so much fun to make. Here's one for Valentine's Day. Gently pull the tab at the bottom and all the images unfold before your eyes! On this card, each image is a bit different. One is very glittery, another has metallic ink accents. This card features the Love You Much stamp set and Round Tab punch.

This card was made with the Love You Much stamp set. The image was stamped on Very Vanilla card stock with Basic Brown ink and colored in with markers. A little bit of glitter was added to the flower. Certainly Celery card stock was punched with the new Scallop Trim border punch (free with a $50 order during SAB) and the new Sending Love Designer Series Paper was added to the bottom of the Pretty in Pink card stock base. Have you seen the new Sending Love DSP? One side of each sheet is glittered and simply gorgeous!

This card was also made with the A Happy Heart stamp set. What a versatile set! If you need a set to make Valentines, this is a great one to have. The DSP, card stock, and ribbon are retired (Riding Hood Red and Candy Lane) but I promise to post some cards and projects using current paper soon!

Continuing with my Valentine theme, here's another card I CASE'd of one done by MommaPatti on SCS. The card base is the retired Riding Hood Red card stock and the DSP is also retired. The heart is embossed with white embossing powder on red card stock and is from the A Happy Heart set. The Ticket Corner punch was used on the top layer and the ribbon, key and metal heart are from my stash.

I saw this Valentine in the gallery on SCS and decided to CASE it. (I wish I could remember who made it so I could give them credit for the design.) The bottom edge of a piece of Kraft card stock was punched with the scalloped border punch and the paper piercing template was used to punch each scallop and the upper right corner. The sentiment on it was stamped with Soft Suede ink and the smallest heart from the Heart to Heart punch was punched from a scrap of Real Red cs and glued over the heart in the sentiment. A piece of 1/2" Real Red striped gross grain ribbon was wrapped around the center. Next, SU markers were used to color the rubber on the tic-tac-toe style image from A Happy Heart stamp set. (Be sure to use water based markers for coloring on your stamps so it will wash off.) It was stamped on Whisper White card stock. Then a Real Red marker was used to color the center heart and stamped on a scrap of WW cs, punched out with a 1/2" circle punch, and used to Build a Brad with the kit from SU. The image was mounted on Real Red card stock and adhered to the Kraft cs with Stampin Dimensionals. The card base is also Real Red card stock.

Another of my favorite stamp sets is Loads of Love. Very versatile for both men or women and occasions. This simple Valentine was colored with Watercolor pencils and spruced up by generously sprinkling some of the hearts with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
